Affair = Suit?

If a person was to have an extra marital affair with another married person. Can the other married persons spouse sue the other person?

I recall reading about a similar case I think somewhere in the northeast, but I do not recall the result. It may be that the Court held that there was no cause of action to the hurt spouse.

Of course, this will vary state by state and you failed to provide your state.
