affidavit of forged endorsement question, please

has anyone been through this, please? my mom forged some of my paychecks, used $ for herself (i did not benefit, know, or give permission)... i was out of state... she's claiming i gave permission, also, previous gifts are suddenly *grossly inflated* charges (in the amount of the forged checks-- interesting)...

i'd like to know what the investigation process is like... this is awful being my family...
