What is the name of your state? Virginia
I would like to know what happens after a person is evicted and have 5 months left on their lease? Will the person have to pay each month for the remaining 5 months? If the tenant is responsible for paying the 5 months, what will happen if they don't pay? I also would like to know if the eviction will show up on the tenant's credit report?

The tenant paid the rent on time. The issue was the roommate (that was also on the lease) had constant company and neighbors were complaining of noise, etc. So therefore, they are both being evicted due to this. Will it make it harder for the tenant (that didn't cause problems) to rent another place (even though the rent was paid on time)?

The LL needs to re rent the unit as quickly as reasonably possible. NOW was this eviction a court ordered eviction or the LL just declaring a breach of the lease and giving the tenant notice to vacate. Court ordered eviction would have a record that can be reviewed by future LLs in the screening proccess. LL declaring breach of lease by tenant with out court order may not affect a persons ability to rent another place. if the former co tenant gets ok referal from LL/ BUT theres no way to know what the former LL will say when contacted.

Thanks for responding. It was declared a breach of the lease and the tenants were given 30 days notice to vacate.
