i live in washington state. my wife left me and moved to north carolina in 1994 and i haven't seen her since that time. last year i sent her divorce papers served by the brunswick county sheriff and given and return of service was signed by her brother. i have not heard from her yet. what can i do?

My response:

File the original Proof of Service, the Original Petition, and a Request for Entry of Default Judgment. That's it.

Wait for the "Entry" to be signed by the judge.
