I was involved in an accident where a woman rear ended me, she was completely at fault. After 3 months of back and forth with her insurance company it was settled as she had no insurance so my insurance company had to pick up the expenses. I had a very bad whiplash and injured my upper back. I had hired an attorney and he said he would handle everything. It took almost 2 years to the day that my claim was settled. He had told me to continue to go to the chiropractor and doctor as needed. When it was settled in March, he made me sign a form that I would be responsible for any bills due after the settelement before I could received my claim. The last time I went to the doctor was in January and the claim was settled in March, he said that I owed the doctor's office for the month of January and to pay with my portion of the claim. Why did he not pay the total of the expense once the claim was settled? He had 3 months to figure the expenses. He said he had sent the info into my insurance company in Dec. And also he said that I would be responsible for my exhaust system that my insurance depreciated. Why were these expenses not included in my total claim since no other bills were acquired for 3 months?
