Age 18 and legal guardianship

What is the name of your state? New Jersey

I was granted "temporary" legal guardianship of a minor a year ago. he is now 18 years old. Is my guardianship technically expired? What rights and/ or obligations do I have for the individual at this point?

Thank you Silerplum. I realize that 18= legal adult and certain rights for the individual.

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question,

HOWEVER what I am asking is: now that they are 18 and considered legal, do I have any obligation as a legal guardian (and by obligation, I mean legally, not morally.)

And am I still considered their "legal guardian" or am I absolved of that by the use of the word "temporary" in the order?

The thing to do is look in your yellow pages under "attorneys" find several that specialize in family law AND offer free initial consultations; call/visit two or three; and get your questions answered. Don't laugh. It really works! Good luck to you.
