I work in Maryland, recently I was written up due to complaints from other staff members. I relayed to my boss that these complaints are unsubstantiated. I feel that the staff members in question have difficulty accepting me and following my instructions because I'm significantly (around 20 years) younger than they are. I've been told that age discrimination applies to people over 40, but is there anything that covers my situation? I'm a very reasonable person and have never considered suing anyone, but I also feel very strongly about the way I'm being treated to the point where I want to sue the company I work for. Not being very legal minded, howver, I don't know how much of a ground I have to sue on.
