What is the name of your state? MN
Here we go again....small town BS. My niece was served forclosure papers on my mom's house that I rent from her. (my mom) my niece is only 17. We live in a small town and I am not 120 days behind on loan. (rent) My name was put on the deed even though I am not on the loan. I gave the bank 800 dollars and they cashed the check 3 days later and 13 days after that my niece was served the papers for the forclosure. Is this legal to serve a minor?
Please help. Bank won't talk to me because I am not on the loan. What do I do?

Yes, go here and click on 4.03--http://www.courts.state.mn.us/rules/civil/RCP.htm#C403

So who is on the loan? They need to go talk to the bank and find out what going on (although, I believe they already know).

What do I do?
If you don't find a way to stop the foreclosure, you'll have to find another place to live. Sounds like you better have a pow wow with mom.

It appears you are a mere tenant in the house and this is Mom's problem with the bank.

Do you make your payments directly to the bank instead of Mom?

FYI the bank can foreclose anytime the mortgage is in default.

Hmmmm what does this being a small town have to do with anything and why is it BS if the bank wants to be paid? Your fury should be aimed at Mom.
