Agreements in lieu of judgements

I was just reading the posts by "WonderWho" and it brought to mind a related question.

If you are called to a prehearing and a trial date is set; does a payment agreement you may reach with the plantiff count as a judgement against you?

For instance, if you default on that agreement; does the plantiff have to sue you again or can he just start attaching accounts, etc?

That all depends on the party suing you. Many will accept your agreement but also get the judgment anyway, but it isn't enforced unless you default on your agreement. Its also just as possible that they'll accept your payment agreement and forego the judgment altogether.
