Hello everyone,

Thank you for your time in reading my post. I am in Kelowna, Cananda.

I purchased an airline ticket from Air France on February 15th of this year from Vancouver, Canada to Dubai, U.A.E for $2085.62. When I purchased it, the ticket clearly stated that I was able to refund the ticket before or after departure with no charges. It says the same thing on the e-ticket I have.

A month or so later, my plans changed and I attempted to refund my ticket. I called the refund department, who informed me that according to their system the ticket was non-refundable. I insisted that it was refundable according to my e-ticket, and they said it must've been an error on their website at the time of purchasing. They gave me an email address and fax number to send my request and e-ticket to. The email address was wrong and I have repeatedly tried to fax them my request only to consistently find a busy fax line.

I called back again and was transferred from department to department and cut-off several times. I finally got ahold of someone who also stated that it was non-refundable, and that there was nothing he could do about it. I again insisted that it reads REFUNDABLE on my ticket. He told me to file a claim on their website. I did that immediately and received a confirmation that they received my claim. That was March 30th.

Until now I have not heard anything back and I need the money back badly. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

US law only.

--- BUT here is a free piece of advice -

If you used a credit card to buy this ticket... that might be a place to look for recourse.
