What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

Background: 24 years old. Senior in engineering, graduating this year. Three speeding tickets on record max. Pulled over for speeding, had 0.20 BAC.

After consulting with several local attorneys, I believe my best course of action is to apply for a pre-trial diversion. I have also been told that this is all paperwork (by a non-attorney).

Is this something I can complete without hiring an attorney? If yes, what actions will I have to perform? If no, why?
