i live in north carolina. getting divorced after 26 years. husband had 2 affairs and is now with mistress. i am thinking of suing her and i know the law will change soon. i do not know if she has any money. i need to know if i do sue her, and win, how can i get money from her...paycheck, 401k, inheritance, savings acct. how do i check her assesses before paying lawyer and filing. also, any thing else you can tell me about this law i would greatly appreciate it.

It's a stupid law and not worth the effort. You need to be able to prove that at the time of the affair, you were both truly in love and that this other woman basically lured him away with goodies. That she purposesly went out of her way to get your man. The chances of success are slim. The attorney will want a lot of money upfront.

Concentrate your efforts on screwing your so to be ex husband out of every penny he has.. and then move on with your life.
