What is the name of your state? WA

My brother has filed for divorce after being seperated from his wife for almost four years. The children are living with him in his home and the wife is living with a friend and not working as she hurt her back and is collecting L&I.

When they were still living together they were both making near the same amount of money. The last year, in fact, the wife made more than my brother. They were both employed as operating room technicians until his wife took a higher paying medical job dealing with organ transplants.

Now that he has filed, she wants alimony. Considering the circumstances, do you think she will be awarded any?

I know, it depends on the judge, but I would like to tell my brother what to expect from people who have been there. Thank you.

Have your brother file for alimony. He is the one raising the children. He should be granted alimony for 3 to 4 years to help him increase his income to support the children in a better manner.
