I have been married to my wife in Montgomery County, PA for the past 4 years. I'm now seeking a divorce which she doesn't intend to contest. We own a home together which we purchased before our marriage and it has a home equity loan on it as well. I have agreed to pay the home equity loan and I am willing to sign over the house. Can I be held liable for the mortgage or alimony payments? Or is the agreement we made prior to filing for a divorce,(where I pay the home equity loan)sufficient. Also what paperwork do I have to complete so that if she goes into foreclosure, it will not affect my credit etc.
