My wife and I married in December 2011. In June 2015 we decided to separate and wrote up a document that said what we agreed on. This included that she would stay living in the house that I bought before meeting her and is only in my name and I would pay the full 2200 mortgage until June 2017. I would then pay half 1100 until Jan 2018 where she would have to pay full amount until July 2018, (during this period there was 3 months she could not afford to pay and I paid half) when we would officially divorce and sell the house. The reason I did this is to help her out. Now that it has become time to divorce and sell the house she is threatening me and saying that if I don't give her the house she will make the court pay her alimony.I was stupid and agreed to help her out and stay married all this time so she could have health insurance. Will the courts take the document that we both signed and got notarized as a legal document and see our agreement and accept it. And see I have been paying her alimony since we separated? Can she really get alimony if I don't agree to give her my house? I have over 200,000 equity in my house. I actually already paid her alimony for the last 3 years by paying her house bill that she was staying in correct? To make matters even worse my girlfriend and I just bought a house in November and she is threatening to take a third of that. I put no money down on the house. It was all my girlfriends money which we can prove. Can she legally do this? This is what I think my legal rights are I have to give her 50% of equity at the time we separated of my house. I told her she could keep all items that are in the house. I feel I have already paid her alimony for all the years I have been paying her motgage plus the health insurance payments I made for the last 3 years. Am I correct in my thinking? I thought having the document between the 2 of us would be enough. Thank you so much for your help
