What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? FL
Hello group. 7 years ago I moved in with my girlfriend at the time, (now my current wife of 1.5 yrs), to a small house she had purchased while we started dated. This was both our second marrriage. She has 2 great kids (presently ages 13 going on 30 (girl) and the boy 15) from a previous marriage who I am close with. I have owned a small business (sole propetietor) for the past 12 years and am also acting Controller for a company 3 days a week. I earn approx. more than double what she earns. She has been employed for 6 years by the same company and fully employed for the past 10 years. We married in Jaimaca last year and she has yet to change her name. Sadly, we both are in agreement about Divorce. I really want a clean easy break if possible. The house is still with her name on the deed and even though there is equity of about 70,000 I don't want it. Do I have to pay Alimony? She currently receives 600.00 a month from her previous husband in child support and I have not legally adopted the kids. Help.

You have not even been married two years? AND she has worked before and since the marriage?

No alimony is likely.

Do you HAVE to pay alimony? No. Will a court award her alimony? not likely.

Is the Sun going to rise tomorrow? I sure as hell hope so.
