Alteration of Affidavit, Is it Legal?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I recently emailed 3 affidavits tailored for each individual. One of the three beneficiary emailed his/hers to a foreign beneficiary who has one drafted w/ the help of an Attorney specifically for him but not yet sent. It is complicated. Let just say it was done by design (counsel advice).

The reason for the affidavits was a waiver/ release from future law suits and such. Then they will receive their distributions. However, Notarization is different in foreign countries. The sibling who sent the doc is clueless and thinks he/she is helping that beneficiary who is a felon. Isn't that aiding that person in committing a fraud?

The foreign beneficiary rewrote the affidavit sent to him not by me (the trustee) and made several changes including name ( I had preprinted the names of the intended Us beneficiaries) and a slew of grammatical errors in the process. Is such an alteration of that legal document illegal?

Thanks in advance for your input.

The alteration of the document is not illegal but you also do not have to accept it as valid. You have posted about this matter before where this beneficiary has given you trouble by being non-cooperative. So now you get to send them another form (the same one you sent them before) asking them to sign the form you sent without alterations or their payment will be indefinitely delayed.
