MY Husband and I were in a neighborhood bar he was playing pool and I was mad at him I picked up a ball and toss it on the table to disrupt his game when i did that it bounced off the table and went through the window directly in front of the table I am happy to settle the matterwith the owner but they do not want me to fix the window or pay areasonable amount to have it replaced I checked on prices and it ranges from 60.00 to 100.00 The owner wants 280.00 I feel as though she will not work with us in any way to resove it We feel as though the window in front of the tables are a bad thing anyway it could and does happen while playing pool all the time! She said if I were playing pool she we wouldnt be liable It was an accident and im willing to work it out and she will not even give me the chance to fix it or have it repaired what can I do?

My response:

There's not a whole lot you can do when someone is being unreasonable. All you can do is wait to be sued. However, that's where you'll be able to show a judge that the pool hall owner is being unreasonable. All you'll have to do is: 1) Admit your liability, 2) After the owner shows his estimates for the repair, show the judge your three, DETAILED, estimates for repair and replacement, along with the prices.

The judge will render a verdict against you for the amount of the lowest estimate.
