According to the SC Dept of Labor's website:

Q. Upon leaving a company, am I entitled to receive pay for any vacation and/or sick time that I have earned but not used?

A. It depends on the company's policy.

In SC, you are not entitled to unused PTO at termination unless your employer has a specific policy of paying out such time. It is not due unconditionally.
