What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania
This is the story, its kinda long, but I don't want to leave any details out. This kid from my highschool (i graduated last year) contacted me and an older guy because he is confused about his sexuality. He says he is gay, but dates girls and stuff. He is really 15 going on 16 here in a couple weeks or so (supposedly). When we first met him he said he was 18 and then I saw a face picture and thought he was younger, then he claimed he was 17, so i went and met him (not for sex) but to listen to him and maybe give him advice if I could. Well I made a dumb mistake, and my cell phone died. The older guy (hes 40) got pissed off that I met this kid and thought we were going to have sex (which we didnt and i didnt intend to). well he knows the kids mom and grandparents phone numbers. it was a saturday night and i picked this kid up around 1230 at night. i didnt think anything of it bc it wasnt a school night and a lot of parents are more lienient with their kids these days. my phone died, and this guy was threatening to call his mom and stuff right before it died. well i didnt think this guy was going to call his mom and he did. he was supposed to be staying at his grandparents house and he ended up getting ahold of his grandpa and his mom. they tried calling me but my phone had died. well i drop the kid off at home, go home and lay down thinking nothing of it and the cops show up at my door and asked me some questions. they asked if we had sex and i said no and then he asked what we were doing and i said that we were riding around and explained the whole gay thing and how i went to school, and was "out" in school and figured that was why the kid came to me. they said it was a dumb move on my part and that i could get myself into a lot of trouble and stuff. turns out the kid is 15, i didnt know that until i had him almost home, and he then tells me he snuck out. well they ddnt arrest me, i dont feel i did anything wrong, since i never had sex with him and i never planned on him sneaking out or anything. the police left my house and said to wait in my living room (where they interviewed me). the one office came back in and said were leaving and a criminal investigator will be in touch with you in the next few days. well i got the other guy to call his mom back and see what was going on. she said that as a parent she was more concerned about me drinking and stuff and that was why she freaked out and that everything was fine now. (this was the day after the cops got called) and i was clearly upset, crying a lot etc (ive never had a detention in school, never been pulled over, etc) and he asked when the police would get back to me and she said that she didnt think they were and she acted as if she wasnt charging me on anything. is it possible that the police said the criminal investigator was coming to scare me and teach me a lesson? i know i will never do this again, and ill never be so dumb.
