In April 1980, I applied for a marriage license in Elkton Maryland. While completing the application, a question was asked "If I had ever been married" and "If married, provide a copy of divorce." I ask the clerk what it meant. She told me that if I was married and divorced I would have to submit a copy of my divorce decree. As I did not have a copy I answered the question "No I was never Married." Since I obtain my marriage license by fraud, can I be legally married. My wife (if legally married) and I are in the middle of a divorce. We seperated the last time in Jun 1997. We lived in Virginia from 1989 until we seperated. She still lives there. I now live in Alabama. I moved here in January 1998. The divorce is pending in Newport News, Virginia.
