Okay, here is my complicated question. My parents bought a car for me 2 years ago. The title was in their name but I made all the payments on time and carried insurance on the car. My mother got mad at me and took the car back (even though in 2 years I have never been delinquent on the payments). Now prior to her taking the car back I was in an auto accident not involving any other car which caused some damage to my car. I had not had it fixed yet because we did not have the money to pay the deductible. After she repossed the car she called my insurance company and reported the accident against me. I told the insurance company the truth and they agreed to pay for the damages on this car. Now my mother has put the car in a shop and I do not have the money for the deductible. Am I responsible for the deductible even though the car was never mine and she repossed it for no legal reason? Thank you in advance for answering my question.

Does you mother have a drinking or drug problem?

This Sounds like the kind of trailer trash story you hear in Rikki Lake!

Maybe this is a kid who just got out of control. Pay for the car, yes. Respect parents, no.....I would do the same. My name, her name...it's called a wake up call. You want to be a responsible teen with a car in my name???? Let's not jump to conclusions!? Why was the car taken I think is the most important question, yes???

No, we are not trailor trash. No, my mother does not drink or do drugs. She does have a control problem and thought that by taking the car she could gain control. But anyway it is a very long story, very complicated and very bitter. I just want to know if LEGALLY I am responsible.
