What is the name of your state? CA

Parents had a joint revocable trust. One parent died. The other parent refused to let children see copy of trust. The surviving parent went to a new attorney and had the trust amended to exclude children.

The attorney who amended the trust states that he doesn't have a copy and has no knowledge of the original trust and its contents because he did not draft it. Surviving parent stated in the trust amendment that he had only seperate property because he was not currently married.

Deceased settlors will is missing and surviving spouse is now deceased.

Are children entitled to a copy of the orginal trust document. A copy has been requested via certified mail with no response. Children were not notified of change of trustee or to the trust disbursement which was a few moths ago.

Also, why would an attorney amend a document that he has not seen when since it was joint it may or may not be in whole or in part irrevocable?

Thanks
