What is the name of your state? MICHIGAN

My brother was served with a summons, complaint & notice to quit. On the papers that were served, the first page had typed in it Monday, June 1, 2006, but then someone crossed it out and wrote Monday May 1, 2006. Then on the following pages, it still said June 1st.

Then he received the copies of the same notices. Each of them only had Monday, June 1st.

Then they just sent a copy of the first page, summons and someone wrote in red ink at the top of the page "amended" and crossed out the June 1st and wrote in red ink, May 1st. No one signed or initialed any of it. Is this legal? I thought that you have to at least put your initials next to the amendment, but not sure.

Thanks!
