What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MO

Can I ammend my own living trust or do I need a lawyer? I just need some minor changes and there is a template (free online) that helps you do it. Once done, would the ammendment just be kept with the orginal trust document? Thanks

Sure. You can.

But if this relates to specifically disinheriting your possible son (a thread elsewhere), I don't know that I would recommend a do-it-yourself approach.

gosh, i hope you arent considering changing your beneficiary to be a minor change ?

it might not take a lot of wording, but it is far from minor.

just remember that amendments are separate documents.

if the amendment "should disappear", there is typically no record of it.
