I previously wrote about our landlord selling the house we rent in KS. This is what has transpired since then...When the landlord and reltor initially came to view the house, we agreed on 24hr notice and no lock box. Since then, I have accomodated all of the realtors requests that have been less than 24 hrs to show the house, there have been 4 of them. Yesterday I called the landlord with the intent to give 30 days notice to leave. I left a message to "call me when she had a minute", she never called. I didnt let her know why I was calling. I immediatley wrote a 30 day letter and mailed it to her. Today a realtor called wanting to show the house, and because I was busy at work, I was going to call him tonight. When I got home the realtor showed up wanting an answer if he could show the house...which we said we would, and also said that the landlord got our 30 day letter and he was going to put a lockbox on the house so they could come and go as they pleased. I just called my landlord, and no answer. I had to leave another message for her to call me. We made a verbal agreement that there would be a 24 hr notice and I would always be here. I dont feel comfortable that they can come and go as they put it...we gave 30 days because we felt that it would be easiest for her to sell with NO ONE living here! We are trying to help her out, and leave quietly!! And the worst part is, is that it was the realtor that let us know she changed her mind about the lock box. Dont you think she could have called us and let us know before the realtor. The only good thing that has come of this is that I now know how realtors work, they are very similar to car salesmen, they really could care less about your privacy and actually lie most of the time!
thanks for your help...

well now you have done it.... you didnt take my advice...

oh well you rich folks annoy me.

By leaving the place dirty, dirty laundry at the front door.. and messy stink it up by frying fish or garlic.. you might have been able to get some money from the landlord.

So find a new place, and dont worry about your deposit ..you probably wont get it.

So I wont tell you what to do if she doesnt give it to you
