My neighbor is very annoying and always going behind peoples backs to try and get them in trouble. When he first moved in, he noticed that our elderly neighbor didnt drive a lot and asked her if he could have her parking spot.. she said no... We recently found a notice on her car from the city stating that she had 10 days to move the "inoperable" vehicle to storage or they would tow it. I think that he thought she wouldnt see the notice since she doesnt go out much, but we saw it and took it to her. He is very evil and I want to know if there are laws against annoying neighbors like that, and what kind of suit we could bring against him. Thanks if anyone can help...

Ahhhh the question is:

Did the edlerly person PAY for that spot? Then the neighbor had no right to demand to use it.

If the car is unlicensed unregistered uninsured it can be towed...doesnt matter if its a senoir citizen, All cars must be LEGAL and be operable.

Sorry..even senior citizens dont get a break on keeping a FREE parking space till they die!

He can ask all he wants for her to move but if she doesn't give it up then that's his problem if the lot is a free-for-all. He can walk the extra 20 feet to his own spot. If she pays for the spot she has nothing to worry about. The car does need to be legal and operable, though. If it's not and she doesn't pay for the spot, I'm sure he's gonna take the spot when it's getting serviced.

But you can't really do something because a neighbor is "annoying" ... unless they are harrassing or causing damage, they can stay there all they like. If there are a number of legitimate complaints about them, maybe the management will eventually evict them but that is no guarantee.
