Annulment Reversal?
What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY
An annulment was granted 7 years ago (on grounds of Fraud). I was the plaintiff in the case and the annulment was filed by me. The defendant who was deported out of the US (info I was unaware of when I got married, in fact he told me he had a Greencard and was outside of the country on business, which is where we got married... thus the annulment on grounds of fraud) was served a Summons with Notice and waived his right to answer. Now, the defendant is contacting me and requesting I give him a copy of the annulment papers as he is attempting to immigrate back into the US (per the immigration system, he claims it still shows that he is married to me plus he must have filed another case, so now he has two wives in the system). He claims he has remarried and has a child and really would appreciate my help. I do not want to talk to him nor do I want to deal with him. At this point, he is threatening that he will involve his lawyer as I am not granting him his rights and I am not cooperating/responding to him.
My questions are:
a) Do I owe him anything? I have moved on, it's been 7 years...
b) I do not really know what this person is capable of. Is there some way my past can come back and he can attempt to reverse the annulment since it was filed on grounds of Fraud (being he is trying to immigrate back, so having a fraud case doesn't look too good for him)?
