After reading some of the other Ebay problems others have posted here I am probably going to get slammed for my question.
Husband recently won a bid on Ebay for a high dollar item, not thinking he would actually win the bid. However he actually did win the bid. Problem is, the funding we thought we had all set up fell through and now we simply can not afford to buy it. We did try to e-mail the seller appologizing but he is threatening to put a lien on our property and accounts. My question is, can he actually do that? He really isn`t "out" anything. We haven`t sent him any money and he still has his item. He is also saying that now he will only accept cash or a credit card. So, I guess my question is,,,Can he put a lien on our property and I`m assuming he means our bank accounts? And could he actually win if he tries to sue is? I do feel really bad and embarassed but I`m also thinking, why couldn`t he just put it back up for bidding or whatever you call it?
And please don`t call me stupid. We have never done any kind of bidding ever and are just not very, I don`t even know what you would call it "internet savvy?". I came here because I`m thinking someone can help. So, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don`t even know how much I would appreciate it.
I don`t know if it matters but we live in NV and the seller lives in CA.
