from Pa. if you read my post you'll know my 15 year old daughter constantly tries to kill herself or says she will..she is getting help..but not what i'd like or the theripist..they let her choose..go figure!!!!

her father and I have joint custody,,i think..court papers say..order of shared custody with him having primary physical, and me partial physical..that's another post I'm waiting to have answered....

anyway.. she was put on prozac...doesn't this need to be a decission we both need to make and sign? or does he only need to do it..
I don't think just putting her on meds is enough, or what I think she needs.. her outburst are because of what we both are doing to her with all this fighting..and she is just at wits end.

I gave councelers a copy of my custody papers last week when I took her in..now she told me sm said I didn't give all the papers.. I gave what the courts gave... don't we both get the same?

i'm just so tired of this!!! :~~(

Who has legal custody?

Legal custody gives that parent the desicion making authority. BUT, that parent needs to also contact the other parent and keep them informed of the medical stuff. You have the right to look at ALL of your childrens' medical and school records. SM has NO rights to the child or the medical appts. You need to go and talk to her counslor/therpist and voice your concerns about your daughter.

Good Luck.
