Anti-cybersquatting

I am being threatened by my previous employer. First off, my previous employer invented a chiropractic technique (Activator Methods) and my husband purchased the domain name activator-doctors.com in hopes of privately hosting biographical pages for doctors who practice this technique. First question is, is this illegal, because the owner is threatening to sue me (he is saying I have stolen confidential info, but the only info I have gotten is public info from his website). Second question is, does this Anti-cybersquatting even apply to my husband as he is not a USA citizen, and the business is registered under his UK company?

1. even if the info is from his website, he can still sue you for copyright infringement as website content although available to the public is under copyright by the owner.

2. it does not matter if your husband is not a US citizen, he can still be found guilty of the charges. There are both US and international laws that govern domain name registration and squatting.

so if I change the site name to something like doctor-services.com will this fix the problem?

The only info I have used from his site is contact info to contact some people.....nothing like copying info on the site....my site isn't even up yet

My response: No as the copyright issue still remains.
