For the purposes of SOL: If the date of last activity is listed as March 1997, does the SOL run out on March 1st or March 31st?

I'm going to assume you are looking at a credit report. That really doesn't affect the SOL. What you need to know, is the exact date you defaulted. For example, say the last time you paid was Feb 2nd of 1997. You get a bill with a due date of Mar. 2nd and that one, you don' pay and never make anymore payments then, you'd use march 2nd as the date you defaulted.

As to the CR, negative stuff should fall off 7 years after chargeoff. I'm not sure if they use the 1st or end of the month but, it is separate from your states SOL on collecting bad debts.
