Hi, on 8/26 I went to WalMart to have 3 tires put on. I paid for service & left. Yesterday, after driving on 1 of the top 5 dangerous roads in the US, my front driver tire came off the rotor. I immediately called WalMart, told them what happened & they sent someone to me. The guy looked @ the tire saw that the 2 out of 4 lugs on the tire broke off, but there was no sign of the other 2. The guy asked where the other 2 lugs were? I said i didn't know. He asked if anyone else touched my car, I said no. He said someone must have been trying to take my rim off, because they wouldn't have let me leave with only 2 lugs. I spoke to a manager on the cell who told me, he himself personally checks each car after the work is done, so it could not have been there error. The guy with me contacted a tow truck, who charged me $60 to take me home. When I got home I saw a mechanic across the street from me. He looked @ the car & said the lugs could have flown off. Then he tells me it may cost $150 + another tow fee, because the car can't be driven. I think about this, I could have been in a serious accident had I been back on the road I came from; I was even heading toward the expressway. That parking lot saved my life! Is there a case here? Should WalMart be held liable for this? Thanks in advance.
