What is the name of your state? OH

No question really. Just a weird story. Upstairs tenant of a duplex moved out a couple weeks ago and I was there fixing some things and cleaning up. The downstairs tenants (a couple) were on vacation in FL, but had his sister staying there watching the place (because they knew the upstairs was empty). She saw the for rent sign, and decided to fill out an application. Skip to today, when I open the local weekend advertising supplement. A full page of the area's most wanted people stare back at me. Who is on that list? Yep, the sister who just applied for the apartment upstairs. Just goes to show you that you can never screen too carefully. I had just finished screening her application, and had already rejected her for her criminal record, but now I had all the information for the crime stoppers hotline. I am just amazed that she would give me all this info when she knew she was wanted. You just never know...

Smart criminals often escape capture. The dummies might as well just give themselves up inthe beginning. It ends up the same eventually when they do something such as this.

Do you get the crime stoppers reward?

She was listed as wanted for theft and probation violation. I didn't hesitate to call her in. She must have really stolen some large amount of $$$ to make that list! (Of course, I don't know what the probation violation was for - maybe something big? She was listed between a girl for illegal drug scripts and a guy for assault & DV.) The lady at crimestoppers told me to call back with a number next week. If they catch her, I get cash $$$. Funny thing was her picture. She's got this look on her face like "Who? Me?" Wish you could see it, it's comical.

Alaska LL: I could use free publicity. I've got 2 places coming open on the 15th.

You just never know who's going to show up at your next vacant place. Lesson: Always screen carefully. (And take precautions when you go to show a place alone.)

Criminals ALL have that look when photographed. None of them are ever guilty of the charges that they've been arrested for . . . they were " framed" . Just ask them.

USAviator, you are SOOOOO right. I worked in a state prison for years. The place was full of innocent people. (And suprisingly, a few that admitted they had done it. Those were the ones that usually straightened up and did not return.)
