What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Texas

I recently ourchased a home in Texas and was charged an appraisal fee for valuation of the property. After the closing, I requested a copy of the appraisal, which I had been charged $335 for and was told it was not available to me. I feel I should be entitled to a copy of this appraisal, since I have paid for it.

Please advise, thank you

You might get some other folks here to argue but if you paid for it you are entitled to it unless there is some contractual obligation not disclosed here stating something to the contrary.

**A: you are right. Read the federal law. A request must be made in writing.
