Good Morning, I'm a resident of Massachusetts and I have a very general question. I'd like to know the most legally appropriate/binding wording to use when ending a letter when I want the person I'm writing to to know that if he doesn't respond in X number of days, then I will assume that my understanding of a matter is accurate.

I hope you understand what I'm looking for and I eagerly await your comments.

What you have written here seems right.

- - - - - - OR - - - - - -

"If I do not receive written response from you in X (usually 30) days, it will be assumed that all understanding of this matter is accurate."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
BUT is it legally binding? Not sure, you'll have to go in front of a Judge to find that out.
