Siberian1963*****i just sold a home over a month ago in Minnesota. We recently had a huge rain storm in which rain came in through the garage of my former home. The builder came out and apparently fixed the leak in the garage roof. He then told the new owner that i had prior knowledge of the bad roof and kept the money from my house insurance and did not fix it. I did not have any knowledge nor did i claim anything on my insurance. My insurance called the new owner
and the house inspector went up on the roof and noticed the wrong nail gun was used to put the shingles on when the home was built. The builder is refusing to correct this (the home is only 2 years old). Now the new owner wants to take me to arbitration.....I had no knowledge of the bad roof and nothing was wrong while I lived there. He even had an inspector prior to closing. What is my recourse here.
