What is the name of your state? tn
Can someone that owns a primary residence home just up and decide to rent it out for 6 months, and then not rent it again, are there permits or laws required and would the lease be legal without doing any of the above?

**A: what are your exact circumstances? You are a tenant that rented for 6 months then got a termination notice, correct?
