What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
Hi,

1) Are all stock options classified as 1256 options? For example, are "SPY Nov 2012 120 puts" considered 1256 options?
2) Are all 1256 options to be “MTM ”market to market on Dec 31st on my broker statements? The price on Dec 31st 2011 is also the new "Cost basis" for my sale of these options in 2012?
Thanks.
