What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

If my case agaisnt the travel company fails, I plan to take to court the credit card company. I originally disputed the charge after the travel company refused to give me any resolution. But credit card company rejected the claim for failure to show evidence. But what kind of fraudulent charge would have evidence? How do you produce evidence when the charge was unauthorized?. To dispute a case of fraudulent charge, is evidence critical?

Only half the story

I can tell by your posts that you've only given us half your story. I don't think these charges were as you say "unathorized". I have a feeling your dispute with the travel company is as a result of a legitimate business dealing, but since it didn't go your way, now you want to call the charges unauthorized.

I'm sure the travel company provided evidence to your credit card company that you had some type of contract or dealings with them in which you gave them your card number. If this is the case you are SOL. Just because the credit card company didn't find in your favor doesn't mean the charges are fraudlent. If just means they didn't find in your favor.

Youre right. I did give my CC information. It was almost a legit transaction except I beleive they charged me the wrong amount. They were charging me $35 a day for a standard car. Thats a regular rate so there was no way in hell I was going to accept that or else I could get the same rate if I was a walk in at the rental company. Can you carify what SOL is and what it has to do in this case?

Now we get a little more of the story here...

I didn't mean SOL in legal terms. I mean you were S**t Out of Luck.

...and I really think you're still SOL.

sorry, ana

When you rent a car, you sign a contract specifying the amount you are being charged. What does your signed contract say about the charges?
