Army AWOL question.

alright heres the deal, i was in FT benning(Hell) for about 5 weeks before i was sent home on convalesant leave. i wasnt going to come back, but for some stupid reason i decided to go back. when i did finally go back i was awol for a week. i got a company grade a15. and also they gave me a piss test when i got back which i planned on failing bc my thought was that they would discharge me on those grounds but they didnt. i didnt wait long enough on the results of the ua to come back witch i know will come back pos for marijuana. i ended up just leaving ft benning on my own and that was about a month ago. i know i will have to turn myself in at ft. sill when i am declared a deserter, but i just wanted some advice and maybe some ideas as to what will happen to me when i go to ft. sill. thanks

Your probably gonna catch some sh*t about pissing hot when you turn yourself in. And don't be surprised if they stick you with a BC discharge for it. The Army doesn't forget about drug use.

fort sill pcf

going to fort sill is easy for people who were in basic or ait. if you went further and the army spent money on you then its not so easy. if you have any prior issues then the army takes care of them before they will even start any out proc... if you go to pcf with bad conduct or prior drug use or criminal offense then they send you to jail. sometimes they will try you out at pcf but one mistake and you go straight to jail. no one can really tell what will happen to you at fort sill pcf as your fate is decided by first sgt. there were at least five people who he dint discharge and they stayed in with slap on the wrist. one person wanted out was dfr'd and the first sgt would not grant discharge. ive even seen a few who were possitive for drugs and dint get discharged. Remember no case is the same with the army. no one knows your fate till the army delivers it. unless you went awol from basic or ait its hard to say what will happen.I do know that the pcf is easy, and if I knew it was that easy I would not have waited to go.though i would not sugest getting out of army that way. there are better ways. though not to sure with bcd bad conduct yet i do know that it will be harder to get jobs with bcd. if they do background check. Please remember that you did sign a contract for the mill. and that going awol and getting discharged isnt the best way out of the army. I went awol for family reasons wich were resolved before going to pcf. I wish I hant heard of
gi rights hotline or about fort sill or knox pcf.there are better ways to get out of mill. awol and sill are not the answer. I went awol from basic and spent about four months looking over my shoulder for cops and mp's. yet none came all I wanted was to make it past being dfr'd and then head to sill for discharge. when you get to sill you will soon feel like a peice of crap. everyone who sees you in the bdu's instead of acu's will know why you are there. and when you leave the pcf all you can think of is was the army realy that bad.I cant speak for everyone but I wish I hadnt done what i did. the civilian life isnt really that great and the army can really shield your familly from the bad crap that happens in day to day life.all i can say is dont get dfr'd dont go awol, and dont take the pcf way out of the army. If you pleade your case and the army still wants you then you need to stay in. in the real world there are rules to live by and believe it or not the army rules are easy.I no longer agree with the gi rights hot line or the concienciuos objector status. going to war right now is far better than if you had to go in ww1 or ww2 or korea or nam. just think over your sittuation very carefully. while at the pcf there were three guys who at last min. wanted to stay in yet it was too late. for all you who went awol frombasic or ait just remember that basic and ait isnt the army. for those who want out with gay discharge just remember the army has dont ask dont tell and you might not get out over that.Just think if 15 privates wanted to leave boot camp they would just say im gay,and the army knows that.YOU WILL NOT OUT SMART THE ARMY.You will just f@%k up your life.

Just hang in there or get out the right way. awol is the wrong way and so is the gay way out. they do have fialure to adjust!!!!!!!!!!!!
and yes at fort sill you will be out by friday if you get there by tuesday, and are dfr'd, if you go awol from pcf becouse you are not dfr'd you will go to jail nomatter what. If you return early you will go back to unit and have to repeat proc. over again. just please think things over and dont ask for advice at first just answer yourself what you want out of life. and not let anyone influnce you on what you want.... DO THE RIGHT THING**************....
