Washington state:
I have been unemployed for almost 2 years now with no ability to pay my child support to the Dept of Child Support in Washington State and ham currently residing in Texas. My child support officer has threatened me with turning it over to the authorities, which means a warrant, an arrest, jail and in front of a judge I presume to explain why I have not paid my child support obligation in 2 years and possible prosecution. I have been over the course of the last 6-7 years trying to modify the child support and parenting plans and filed those petitions with the court. My ex wife refuses to settle it in arbitration as outlined by the final decree and does not accept or return calls from the arbitrator's office. She has refused to take the mandatory parenting classes for the case to be heard in court. She also has denied me visitations to my children and in at least one case, she was in contempt of court. I have filed with the court and DCS a unfair Bad Faith Child support Accumulation document to make adjustments to the child support to the regular schedule of the state and to eliminate 90% of the child support they are demanding. I put out between 30-80 resumes each week in seeking employment and have had many interviews, even flown out to other states for these interviews and just can't land a job. I had my own business where income was great and even voluntarily paid an additional $300 monthly to pay for the arrears at that time. I am doing everything in my power to take care of my responsibilities, but that doesn't mean anything to DSC. I was jailed falsely for on year and have been putting out on an average, 50 resumes weekly and have been turned down jobs because of a conviction. I have approximately $4,000,000 in lawsuits in which I am the plaintiff and expect settlements and gave them this information too. My understanding about the laws made were for bad guys who intentionally break the laws and to protect the innocent and those respecting and obeying the law, not those who are in bad circumstances and are trying their best. Is there any legal actions I can take to stop this from happening?
Thank you for the time you spend to read and answer this,
