Arrest warrant issued 13 years ago for FTA for DUI

Sorry, I accidentally posted without the information to the case. So my husband was arrested in 2003 for DUI, he hired an attorney and we thought everything had been handled. We moved to AZ in April of '04 and have not had any issues until now. My husband was having a background check done in hopes of starting a new job, only to find that there's an active warrant for FTA for his DUI case in September '04. He's had multiple background checks done and this is the first time it's shown up. Going back to California to deal with this is extremely difficult at this point, but we're hearing that may be what he has to do. What are the options at this point, and realistically what are we looking at to clear this?

I suggest your husband contact the attorney who represented him on the DUI in 2003 to see why a failure to appear warrant was issued.

Your husband might have missed the final court hearing that released him from probation. Just a guess.

A failure to appear warrant will not go away until your husband takes care of it, however. This might mean he will need to make a return trip to California.
