What is the name of your state? PA
My future ex is currently living in PA BUT has an active warrant in ILL., that a judge placed on him for contempt of court (he's a flight risk, never appears in court when demanded). He has since fled ILL and has taken custody of our children in PA. Obviously the PA courts no nothing of this warrant. Is it possible that the PA courts will willingly reverse the custody based on this warrant? He was also to show in court for our divorce, and again, didnt appear. He is well aware of this warrant and has been arrested on it many times.

If IL is willing to extradite him on the warrant, it will be entered in to NCIC. When an officer in PA runs his name they will get a "hit" via NCIC on the warrant and the officer's agency will call the IL agency to "confirm" the warrant. When/if the warrant is confirmed (as valid and that the issuing agency WILL extradite), they will send an "abstract" to the requesting agency and the suspect will be arrested.

It may be possible that the PA courts would reverse custody based upon the warrant, but chances are that won't be the deciding factor. If he has custody, there may be a reason that you don't. The court might decide that the children are best placed into foster care if he is arrested.

Without knowing all the details it is hard to say.
