Illinois - I was pulled over for allegedly driving without my headlights on and the officer claimed he smelled alcohol after taking my license. He asked me to step out of the car, which I did. I refused to take the sobriety tests and exercised my right to remain silent. He proceeded to arrest me. I posted by bail and got a ticket for speeding and a ticket for driving without my headlights on. Is my license still going to be suspended for 12 months even though I didn't receive a DUI? If so can I request limited driving privileges for driving to work? Any advice is much appreciated!

did anything else happen? did he actually take you into the poilce station? did the poilce man ask for a blood draw? you are not required to take the FSD as many thing... but refusing other things such as a blood draw are where you get into trouble with the DMV

Sounds like you got a pair of traffic citations and not a DUI. I wouldn't worry unless you actually get charged with a DUI.
