What is the name of your state? Victoria (Australia)

ok, slight problem.
I collect art magazines, and most are adult comics.
i'd like to buy a few buy a certian artist as i love their work, but some of the work involves lolicon (child pornography in the drawn form)
i know in some states in the US this is legal, i was just wondering if it is in australia or not.

and please don't flame, i'm only buying it because of the respect i have for the artist.

Thank you :)

no, i respect the artist for their talents.

the artists only draw what the audience wants and as lolicon is legal in japan, japanese artists usually have a part in lolicon illustration

Well, apparently there's no shortage of worshipers for criminals who have artistic talent, either. I hear murderabilia is big, too.

However, as with anything, if there is no demand, there is no supply.

Advocating child porn in any form is disgusting. It doesn't matter whether a country's leaders condone it. These are children, for crying out loud! They are helpless! Your role as an adult is to protect them, not harm them and even if you don't think you're directly causing them pain, you are indirectly.

Their well-being is more important than someone's sick fantasies.

How do you protect or harm a drawing?

Sorry, I always tend to forget to spell things out in minute detail for those who aren't inclined to grasp the context of the post.

Advocating child abuse, animal abuse, spousal abuse, slave labor, exploitation of our rain forests and natural environments, etc, consists of much more than physically taking part in A) beating a child, B) beating an animal, C) beating a spouse, D) hiring people to work under terrible conditions and paying them little, E) bulldozing down trees in the Amazon. It can include purchasing products which advocate any or all of the above, making products for resale which advocate any or all of the above, influencing others to partake in any or all of the above activities, etc.

In other words, if I don't believe in animal cruelty but I go to races where they kill the animals if they don't win enough, I'd be supporting it, indirectly.

Is that more clear?

I'm against animal abuse and killing animals for senseless purposes----but I love my fur coats :D
