My husband was assaulted and pressed charges (3rd degree) The attacker was arrested and freed on bail. His father has offered us money to drop the charges. Can we do that?? Is is legal to take money from him?

I have a little Experence on this I am not sure if this will help you but, once the state takes over in a case like this you can not have it dropped. I was involved in a case simular to this and I tried and tried and they would not drop it. ( The state) They do not like when people try to drop stuff....Don't give up though there is always hope :0)
