What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

How long does it take for an attorney to do an asset search for bank accounts of deceased and will an asset search show who beneficiaries are (if any) on the accounts or just account numbers and amount in each account?

Yours is not a legal question.
I will point out that an "asset search" may not even find ANY accounts - there's no way for us to guess what information the attorney may glean from it. Maybe you should ask the attorney...
