What is the name of your state? California
I am wondering if I have a Schwab Account, is that considered an asset? and do I need to close it out? Will it be liquidated? It is less than $500.00 at the present time. Thank you

Depends on what type of an account it is. If its not a retirement account, then it would be considered as an asset. I too have a Schwab Account, but it is an IRA, even though it doesn't have much left in it now :(

Also, don't forget that you are allowed so much in cash as an exemption in most states.

You may have to clean that puppy out to pay part of the bill to your BK attorney.

There. Not an issue anymore.
