Divorce in Arkansas. Court assigned husband c/c account to pay off in settlement. No provisions given to insure this was done. Wife, co-signer on card, resolved all assignments given her by court, however husband has never paid off account. Account closed at time of divorce however amount owing is now 2X's what it was due to late fees and penalties. Wife still being held responsible and harrassed by cc company. CC company will not let ex-wife off contract because ex-husb has such bad credit.HELP!Molly

My response:

Dear Donnah / Molly - - ( identity confusion? )

Anyway, one of you are going to have to take him back to court for Contempt of Court - - which is criminal in nature, and he could wind up paying fines, paying for your attorney fees to enforce the court's order, and also wind up spending some time in jail for being in Contempt of Court.

Good luck to you, both of you, either of you, etc.
